All eyes were on Nashville, Tennessee last night as the 44th annual Country Music Awards were handed out. This year it was the turns of Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood to co-host the event.
A star studded cast including Taylor Swift, Reba McEntire, Kid Rock, Keith Urban, Sugarland, Dierks Bentley and Gwyneth Paltrow attended the event just to name a few.
The BIG RESULTS were as follows –

Entertainer Of The Year – was won by Brad Paisley who was genuinely bought to tears during his acceptance speech.
Male Vocalist Award – was awarded to Blake Shelton, which came as a bit of a surprise to many as favored award nominees Brad Paisley or Keith Urban were widely tipped to win the award.
Female Vocalist Award – was won by Miranda Lambert – and she received the award from legendary country singer Loretta Lynn, who she thanked during her acceptance speech for opening doors for women in country music.
Album Of The year – was awarded to “Revolution” by Miranda Lambert.
Vocal Group Of The Year – was awarded to Lady Antebellum.
New Artist Of The Year – was awarded to Zac Brown Band.
Best Vocal Duo – was presented to Sugarland.
And as a last note, actress Gywneth Paltrow got up on stage and sang (very well mind you) "Country Strong" from her movie of the same name accompanied on stage by Vince Gill.
